Friends Safe Baby is an ongoing project to assure the safety of Orange County infants and toddlers. FRIENDS helps DSS provide low income parents and foster parents with new cribs and car seats which meet all current federal safety standards. Friends is committed to preventing incidents of infant and toddler death and injury in Orange County resulting from use of faulty or outdated equipment. We believe all babies should be safe regardless of family’s ability to afford proper equipment. FRIENDS is proud to partner with Carrboro Fire and Rescue to instruct our DSS families on proper installation of car seats.
